February 2026 – Black History Month:  Every February, the U.S. honors the contributions and sacrifices of African Americans who have helped shape the nation. Let us remember the sacrifices and achievements made by those who has gone before us. Black History Month celebrates the rich cultural heritage, triumphs and adversities that are an indelible part of our country’s history.

March 29, 2026 – Palm Sunday recalls an event in the Christian Scripture (The New Testament) of Jesus entering into Jerusalem and being greeted by the people waving palm branches. For Christians, it is a reminder of the welcoming of Jesus into our hearts and of our willingness to follow him.

April 3, 2026 – Resurrection “Good” Friday.  “The day focuses on the passion and death of Jesus.” It is often a solemn day, observed by some with a day of fasting. It’s then followed by the three days that Jesus was laid in the tomb, before rising on Easter Sunday.

April 5, 2026 – Easter, also called Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary

May 24, 2026 – Join the TWD family as we celebrate Pentecost Sunday.  The Christian holy day of Pentecost, which is celebrated fifty days after Easter Sunday, it commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1–31).

TWD Women’s Retreat:  Join TWD Women of Triumph in fellowship June 18-20, 2026 as they create opportunities for Women of God of all ages to serve and fellowship together through a variety of events and initiatives with the ultimate goal of creating an environment and atmosphere that not only strengthens the bonds of sisterhood but also promotes and fosters spiritual and personal growth.  This year’s event theme is “Women Called & Chosen.” The event will be held at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, 17612 Valley Mall Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Sunday, December 20, 2026 — Christmas Fellowship:  Join the TWD Family hosted by Pastor S. Ford at immediately after the 11:00AM service for a wonderful, fun fulfilled time as we enjoy one another in fellowship during this Christmas Season.

December 25, 2026:  TWDCI will be having service on Christmas day, beginning at 10:30AM. Christmas is a time of celebrating the anniversary of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth; it is also a time for giving and not simply a day we exchange gifts. The spirit of Christmas is in the ‘togetherness’, it’s in the thought to which you put into thinking about others, it’s a selfless time, where we forgive, take stock of what’s important and become ‘better’ versions of ourselves.

December 31, 2026:  TWDCI will be having Watchnight Service, join us at 10:00PM.  Watchnight Service (also called Watchnight Mass) is a late-night Christian church service. In many different Christian traditions, such as Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals and Non-Denomination, watchnight services are held late on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the departing of the old year and bringing in of the new year.
